One of the ancient Chinese arts that has certainly not been forgotten or discarded is the art of making and serving tea. This particular art is popularly practiced among the common people, be they Buddhists, Daoists or Confucianists, because tea is taken not just as a means of quenching thirst and ridding the body of excessive oil, but also to nurture the spirit, to move the feelings and nurture the spirit

 

 

4-Hour Tea Tasting Class
Four-hour lesson. 2-Person minimum
In this course you will learn:
• Primary tea-producing regions in China
• Characteristics of each tea type
• Classification standards of Chinese tea
• Tea production processes
• How to identify quality Chinese teas
• Taste six top Chinese teas and find your favorite
• Tea brewing, drinking and storing recommendations

 

8-Hour Tea Course
Eight hours in-depth look at each type of tea – two four hour sessions
In-depth look at the factors of serving good tea.
Overview of:
• Traditional Chinese tea service
• Roasting
• Steaming
In-depth look at changes for each type of tea
• Water temperature
• Washing
• Amount of times water can be applied
• Length of time tea should be “cooked” each time
• How many “cookings” of each
• How many leaves should be selected
• Actual process
• Differences between each type of tea
• Impacts of each specific type of tea with roasting or steaming
• Two four hour sessions
• Tea Included!

 

7-Day Tea Education Course with Certification
Students will gain an understanding of the sophisticated art of Chinese tea, and build the foundation for becoming a genuine Tea Art Specialist. This offers a comprehensive understanding of the flavor characteristics, cultivation issues, and processing methods of all tea categories. Students will also learn the function and aesthetics of Chinese tea rituals, and gain an appreciation for the history and culture of tea arts.
In addition to academic knowledge, each course provides hands-on training and tea tasting. Together, the courses help students appreciate Chinese tea as fine art and promote the understanding of tea quality.
This is a private course with certified Senior Tea Art Specialist Ouyang Pingxiu,”. Students will receive a certificate of first-level tea artist.
The subject areas for Mastering Chinese Tea Art Fundamentals:
• Tea Classification & Processing (Green, White, Yellow, Oolong Tea, Dark Tea, and Black Tea)
• The Six Different Kinds of Tea – why you choose the different teas
• Etiquette
• Understanding Tea Sets
• How to select the best teas

First day:The classification standards and making methods of Chinese tea.
The second day:The The identification of different tea samples, tea tasting, and tea-making methods. It includes green tea, yellow tea, and oolong tea.
Third day:The identification of different tea samples, tea tasting, and tea-making methods. It includes black tea, white tea, and dark tea.
Forth day:Tea ceremony training. It includes the standard actions, the design of the tea tables, the use of different tea sets and so on.
Fifth Day:Tea garden tour.
Sixth day: Tour of various styles of tea houses
Seventh days: The tea market
